Mritadeha O ShashanerGhat was printed in Narshindi, Dhaka in the spring of 1968. There the collection of poems "Saurajhar" was composed beforehand, but its printing was stopped by the Hindu owner of the press in fear of Pakistani Government reprisal against separatist and revolutionary propaganda. Anyway, the satirical poems of Mritadeha O ShashanerGhat led the poet in the middle of 1970 to absolute seggregation (for eighteen months under a Special Tribunal, UT-5619, charged with 16A MLR and 60A MLR, read with 436 PPC) in Dhaka Central Jail. The other collections of poems which were listed here in this book as to be published, were burnt secretly by his parents at the beginning of the independence war in 1971.
